Ponderosa pines are sometimes referred to as Bull Pine or Western Yellow Pine. The Ponderosa Pine is a widespread and variable pine native to western North America. The bark of the Ponderosa Pine has a distinctive smell similar to vanilla.A tall majestic pine at maturity, elderly ponderosa pines reach upward of 185' with a spread of 40'. The ponderosa pine exhibits rapid growth as a young tree, with growth slowing down to moderate after 10-12 years. Established tree in 6" gallon container.
